Default Honda Accords through the Years, What's your favorite Gen?

Hi, my name is Ali and I'm addicted to Honda Accords... well some of them anyway.

Throughout the Years, Honda has designed some pretty slick looking Accords and some downright duds. I realize that car manufacturers have to keep their car designs fresh and current, but I'm generally of the mindset, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

IMO I think the Best Accord Designs go to the 3rd Gen (86-89) and The 5th Gen (94-97, best of all time IMO) The 7th Gen (03-07) had to grow on me, but I'm digging it now.

I think Honda and all the Japanese Auto makers for that matter, made a serious mistake when they tried to increase their cars sizes to Compete with the American Auto, Spitting out those Amorphous blobs (Accord Gen 8, Mazda 6, etc.) I dunno, just my Opinion.

*Note: if this thread has been done before, I apologize (I am the New guy after all)*

So, my fellow Accord Lovers, I ask you which Accord Generations had the best design?

5th is my favorite, but also like 4th and 6th. Anything newer than 02 is just too big and ugly for me though.

I think the 6th-gen (98-02) looks the best, but it's big. I wish is were the SIZE of the 5th-gen.

Somehow the 7th-gen isn't as graceful as the 6th, but it DOES have the K-series engine. That's enough for me to tolerate a less-pretty car. But it's still big.

Of the ones I've owned, I really loved my sixth gen coupe. It was a bigger car, but it felt agile and responsive, and even though I only had the four-cylinder model. I never felt like it was underpowered.

But, I think the best Accord ever was the first gen. My parents had a 1980 Accord, and even though I was very small, I still remember how stunned they were to get so many features for such a relatively low price. I have a Motor Trend review of the 1976 Accord, and the review echoed my parents' enthusiasm.

5th gen, but it was the 4th gen that stirred me towards Accords.

Wish Honda would return to building another two-coupish hatchback Accord. But not like the Crosstour.
I like your idea about what you like..but I still prefer my 1991 Accord 4dr that I had for many years before it met it's demise in a Walmart parking lot.

I'm rollin a 4th gen ('91) now, but the 5th gen will always hold a special place in my heart because of the many hours spent under the hood and behind the wheel of a '94.
