is it possible for a car to go from full on oil to empty in three weeks? i do notice smoke all the time i drive the car. .is it burning it? oh yeah theres also oil in two of the spark plug holes. . (85 supra I6) any help appreciated

 

Yeah, thats a lot of oil to burn, but how much is the car driven in those three weeks? Is it anywhere besides the spark plug holes?

 

It's a lot but if you're driving a lot it is entirely possible.... have you ever done a compression test? does it puddle under the car at rest?

 

Get a oil pressure / level gauge if the problem persists.

 

its not leaking oil no more as the seals have been replace. the oil pressure gauge seems to be fine . .when its in idle its low and when driven on the highway it goes up. .i did not drive it that much in the 3 weeks. .maybe used it like 5 times . .im hoping its just the piston rings or something

 

any ideas guys?

 

2 ways..
# 1 oil leak, outside leak, gaskets. seals, etc etc
# 2 using ( burning oil ) inner leak, valve seals, worn rings,
Chk to make sure that there is not any outside leaks, you say you smell oil burning?? possible oil dripping in exh system or blue smoke from tail pipe burning ??

 

it was blowing blue smoke. .i took it in for a diagnosis and the engine had low compression. .[:@]
