Default HUGE accidental burnout

So yesterday, I was driving to my apartment from college with my girlfriend. I was sitting at a stop sign, waiting to turn left. The traffic wasn't bad, but there was just enough to make me slightly impatient. Anyway, I saw a small break in the traffic between a small blue car, and big Fuso type truck. So as the blue car is about to go past, I start to pull out, and the guy decides he's going to NOW put on his turn signal and turn onto the road i'm coming out of, so he slows way down, while I'm halfway into the road. When he finally turned the Fuso was getting really close. I floored it, which was a bad call. Hard left turns plus 8000 rpm = major tirespin, and smoke pouring from my tires like crazy. By the time I shifted into 2nd, I looked in my rearview and saw the truck was about 3 feet off my rear bumper. Luckily, I regained some traction, and didn't get into an accident. Needless to say, I almost crapped my pants.

I've been there.... that's usually enough to soil most anyone's drawers... If your GF is anything like most women you probably won't hear the end of that one for a while...
