Default Machine shop

anyone know of any machine shops that install Darton MID sleeves? preferably in the north east. Also looking to get it honed and have the rotating assembly balanced.

What's so different about Darton sleeves than any other sleeves? Can any old shop that sleeves put 'em in?

PM Dreman on 6GA... hes currently building a K24A4 lower end with a K20A???? head... I'm sure he has teh hookupz with the shopz and he's in Maryland.

Let me know if you find anything in NNJ or nearby in NY. I know they are nearby, just haven't looked yet.

Darton sleeves are well known as the sleeve authority. Kinda like Clevite bearings, Cometic Head Gasket, Crower Cams, JE pistons and Carillo rods ....... no, I don't have anything up my sleeve

the MID sleeves are far different and better than just dry or wet sleeves, they make for a much stronger deck and better coolant flow and are just generally good designed.

I e-mailed darton directly because I know they do install them but never heard back, I just e-mailed a place here in CT today so we'll see what they have to say.

I know the average is about $600 in labor to install sleeves, but I was looking for a place people had dealt with before so I know they know what they are doing.

NJ is 6 hours from NH? That's unbelievable! Chicago is only 6 hours from me and that seems farther away that NJ-NH... Hell, I'm driving to Florida for New Years, why not just take the East Coast home?!?! It's like a 4,000 mile detour, but oh well!
