a few days ago i was driving my 91 automatic accord, and i tried to put overdrive and i put it reverse going 50 mph, reverse doesn't work anymore it makes just a loud noise. has this happened to somebody. what did i broke?

 

Ouch. I don't know the extent of the damage in there, but I'm sure you took the reverse clutches out and I think you're going to be looking at a new transmission [:@]

Or at least a major rebuild...

 

i wouldnt mind knowing how you felt the need to put it in reverse while going that fast... but yeah new transmission / complete rebuild assuming nothing was damaged that you cant replace just like mbo said....

 

how did you miss neutral and the asociated engine rev?

 

must have flew right past it!
