Default My New Accord! Meet Lola!

First of all, before I show my new car, I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to the folks here: Live2Rice and the others on the wanted thread were great and most of all to redbull-1 for being both encouraging and incredibly helpful to me behind the scenes in PM.

THANK YOU REDBULL-1 If you ever come to San Francisco, I'm totally buying you a beer.

Right. On to my baby car: This is Lola, my new Accord. After dealing with a number of flakey private sellers, I finally gritted my teeth and went to a dealer.

http://imgur.com/a/SL2n2/ Scroll down for more, and there are 2 pages.

She's a 2007, EX-L

61,000 Miles
Dark Grey Leather Interior (and it looks perfect)
Moon Roof
Cruise Control
Air Conditioning
6 CD Changer (but no MP3, wah)
XM Satellite Radio (I would have to subscribe to it, though, so meh..)
Remote, Keyless Entry for both car and trunk
Radio Controls on Steering Wheel
Dual Climate Control
Both front seats are heated YES
Heated Side mirrors (though it doesn't snow here)

Pre Certified with a warranty! How much you ask? $14,000 even after quite a bit of talking 'em down. Whew. And my credit union covered the little bit extra I needed so it's all good.

Now I just have to get good/sturdy seat covers because I don't want my dogs scratching up the leather.

YAY car!!

Thanks everyone ~ I'm now just waiting for the floor liner and dog hammock to arrive so I can stop driving the clunker around. I absolutely love my dogs with all my heart, but NO dogs on my leather!

I've driven a clunker around for so long -- now I'm paranoid. Should I get an alarm? A kill switch? Tire locks? Oh vey.

I wouldn’t bother with all that. If someone really wants to steal your car it's gonna happen whether you have a alarm kill switch or anything of that kind.

I know thats now what you want to hear but it's the truth

2007 should already have a factory alarm, right? Tire locks & all the rest of that stuff has to be a judgement call mostly based on where you live. I can imagine there's parts of SF where you might want that, other places not so much.

There's no alarm on it. It does have a panic button on the key chain, but that's not the same thing. It does have those fancy keys that are RFID enabled - but that won't keep someone from breaking in the car to get the stereo, for example.

On the other hand, it IS a factory radio - who wants a factory radio anyway? It's a tough call. Maybe I'll just get one of those club things and hope that does the trick.

Car thefts and break-ins are fairly high here, but I think they go for cars with radios to take and/or older models they can easily hot-wire to use as a joy-ride car.
