OK since I had to work today, I figured I would have a little fun with a story.

you'all see my ride to the left, a 300+hp monster that eats a lot of cars for lunch :P


This morning some punk with one of these


1988 105HP CRX Si- (with fart can and intake it might be 120hp) 2011lbs
pulls up next to me on the FWY and starts revving on me......lol. I look over and I just laugh at him as I am pointing to his car.....and continue along my way....he continues to rev on me and finally I decide to take him up on his offer and move the selector over to the manual shift mode and drop it into second and stomp on the gas.....lol shift into 3rd when the tach hits 7100...and let off the gas at 100.....

immediately I start looking around for the civic and wait while he catches up and I am letting the car coast back down to 65.....

eventually he comes back along side and he wants to go again so this time I just step on the gas and he is humbled by the beast that my car is....he pulls in behind me and has to pay homage to the almighty Type S badge

I slow down a little as I am hoping that he will pass me so I can point and laugh at him again but alas it is not to be :P as he turns off at the next exit......

very nice, thats always a satisfying feeling. Any chance his girlfriend was sitting in the passanger seat? cause that would be one sweet bonus

 

no but he had 2 of his friends in the car.... he actually rode my rear all the way around the clover leave exit from one FWY to another and should have gotten a good look at CL 3.2 Type S and the nicely poilished dual exhaust and the nice fat high performance tires not to mention the fact that when I got off of the clover, I craked open the throttle enough to get to 4Kon each shift and he couldn't keep up then..

 

That's freakin' sweet.

 

Some people just cant understand that their car is slow, and that they cant race everyone and win. Its sad.

Nice owning though.

 

I'm thinking about dropping the k20a (JDM) engine that's for sale for $5800. But then again, I can just turbo my car for a little less.

the same thing happened to me with a civic. But some people are just hard headed and it takes several lessons to get through to them

 

Yeah....I had that experience too...but I was up against a worthier opponent....an Altima (05).

I barely edged him on the straightaway...but when it came to the curves....totally owned him.

 

I would like to get down into the high 4's for 0-60 but that is gonna take a 3.5 or 3.7L swap amd put a blower on it.......
