The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
Notice to all users, following changes in effect:
All members must review and follow below;
1. At the start of this site you were all told that the terms "rice/riced out/ricey" or other such terms are NOT PERMITTED ON THE SITE. This still stands so DO NOT USE such terms. If you do not like modifications on a car that is fine but keep it to yourself and if it is on a members car and you don't like it, then fine, shut up and deal with it by not saying anything. I'm tired of the crap and editing your posts, read guidelines and follow them or be gone. very simple.
2. I have tolerated the terms "ftw" "ftl" and "fail" and other such abbreviations and they are very annoying. You are all intelligent individuals so post as such. If you don't like something, deal with it instead of resorting to immature scriblings just to up your post count.
3. Post in proper forums, No longer can you simply post in "General forum" Infractions will be issued, bans if needed. READ FORUM DESCRIPTIONS FOR PROPER POSTING.
Threads containing images of your latest work, cars show or otherwise go in showoff. Very simple
4. Postings rules/regulations; You all are again, very intelligent and unique individuals, Treat it as such. Yes this is a forum and free speech is welcomed, however just because it is the internet doesn't mean that you should just do as you please and post in haste. Take time to ensure your titles are clear and concise. No one can help you if your title makes no sense or is difficult to read.
Take time to write out clear complete sentences and ensure they are grammatically correct. Do not use short hand or internet lingo too often, it becomes difficult to read and even furthur it becomes difficult to respond to. Examples would be James_matteu, you may notice his posts are long, well written and well thought out. You should endeavor to do such postings.
You are probably asking, Why such rules and why so much enforcement?
Good question and here is your answer because you all deserve it.
This site was founded on good information for good people and one community for all. It is bad enough that the select few individuals (You all know them as so called ricers who rev, race when they have nothing on their car and etc....) that ruin the import scene for us. We all try to mod our vehicles or just keep them running in great condition.
We do not need our members to contribute to such negative banter by constantly using slang terms or writing incoherent posts.
In short, You all would expect good/great posts that are easy to read from me and many others, if they werent good then you'd simply find it hard to get any sort of information. Therefore we expect the same from you. It is your posts and how you write them that will determine how you are viewed and how much information you can contribute or request from others. Treat it as such.
This notice to be gone when staff determines that sufficient time has elapsed for you to understand these regulations.
Closing note: To be fair to you, I am even guilty of such actions these past few months. I promised to bring you fairness and equality and good leadership. However in the past few months I have started to let even you down, This is my mistake and for that I apologize on my behalf. From this day forward you should expect better of me than you have been getting.
