unfortunately i didnt take the time to remove the header and wrap it properly, but it still does the job.
I also need to take the time to ground those hotwires better and i dont think that just attaching them to the valve cover would be the best thing for grounding.
I need to clean up my muffler as well. Pictures at night dont help lol

I dig it man. I want to dress my engine up nice and wrap up the exhaust. Cool stuff.

 

I plan on wraping the turbo exaust and the charge piping when my kit is far enough along

 

I still have to do that since there is SO much more heat under my hood now. I also think I'm gonna get a vented hood, or make my hood vented if I can figure out how to do it without getting rain and stuff in there...

 

yeah, considering where im going to have the filter for the turbo i wont have a vented hood. So im going to have to trust in oil coolers and thermal wrap ^_^

does that header tape help any?

 

its not really tape, its a mixed fabric/fiberglass, it helps some. I need to find out what the black liquid is that you can dip the wrap in to help it bond better to the metal but dont do what i did.... i wrapped it without removing the header so its not a solid contact between the pipe and the wrap.
