the GTO has a 6.0L w/ 400 hp and mustang and camaro owners AND magazines still say that the Mustangs and Camaros will** POOP**on the GTO...how does that work when the GTO has the bigger motor??

It depends on what you are talking about. Are they talking about top speed, handling, 0-60 or what?
Tires, torque, and gear ratio all plays big parts n' such.

Though I am not a GM fan @ all...I really dont think the GTO is that great of a muscle car. I mean yeah its fast, but it looks like an everyday car, and just doesnt have that beefy look at all.

I wish i could own a GTO. It doesnt matter if it doesnt go fast, cuz u cud fix tht. I like the way it looks, tht everyday look looks nice. But im sure the GTO craze will be over soon.. til the next nice car comes out.

 

I wish they would retro the gto and corvette like they have already done the charger, camaro, and challenger

i liek the idea of a newer goat, but they really bastardized it compared to its heritage. come on, at least give it its own body. actually, the holden version looks better.

 

Yea, I'm a big fan of the gto and I'm looking forward to the g8 which will replace it, but weight is always a problem with those cars
