Probably because of your bad VSS like we talked about in the other thread.

186k bought for 1750, came with primer spots, took it to inspection before buying, needed, tie rod, igniter, other things im sure, 1900 all said and done.

302 miles. A newbie, I am. Yes, that's three-hundred-and-two miles. Just filled my first tank of gas at Costco tonight.
