resizing pic for avatar

how do i resize a pic for my avatar so i can use it on this forum? any help is appreciated

you have to use a picture program. I personally use infranview. Its good and free.

all you have to do is go to the toolbar-image and click on resize. Then take it from there.

Another way that I find a lot eaiser is go to imageshack.us and upload the pic. Where it says "resize" just click on the avatar setting and click resize image. Makes it eaiser and no program downloaded.
