Is Richards racist (Kramer dude from Sienfeld)
Now we all know what he said...........question is do you really think he is racist or just lost it in a fit of rage?
to put this in perspective lets compare that to this
RALEIGH — A Raleigh activist and bookstore owner told a panel at Howard University Law School on Oct. 14 that the solution to many of the problems faced by black people is the extermination of “white people off the face of the planet.” Dr. Kamau Kambon, who taught Africana Studies 241 in the Spring 2005 semester at North Carolina State University, also said this needs to be done “because white people want to kill us.”
Addressing a panel on “Hurricane Katrina Media Coverage,” broadcast in its entirety on C-SPAN, Kambon told the audience that white people “have retina scans, they have what they call racial profiling, DNA banks, and they’re monitoring our people to try to prevent the one person from coming up with the one idea. And the one idea is, how we are going to exterminate white people because that in my estimation is the only conclusion I have come to. We have to exterminate white people off the face of the planet to solve this problem.”
Kambon’s solution received slight applause in the room, to which he responded, “I don’t care whether you clap or not, but I’m saying to you that we need to solve this problem because they are going to kill us.”
The course Kambon taught at NCSU in the spring of 2005, Africana Studies (AFS) 241, is listed in NCSU’s Registrations and Records as “Introduction to African-American Studies II,” a three-credit-hour course described as “Second in a two semester sequence in the interdisciplinary study of sub-Saharan Africa, its arts, culture, and people, and the African-American experience.”
Prior to his call for genocide against white people, Kambon, who owns Blacknificant Books in Raleigh, told the panel that “we are at war.” He said that white people had set up an “international plantation” for blacks, which made “every white person on earth a plantation master.” He said that, “You’re either supporting white people in their process of death, or you’re for African liberation.”
He stressed one point in particular. “White people want to kill us. I want you to understand that. They want to kill you,” he said. “They want to kill you because that is part of their plan.”
Kambon closed his remarks by urging participants and C-SPAN viewers to “get very serious and not be diverted from coming up with a solution to the problem, and the problem on the planet is white people.”
Before teaching at NCSU, Kambon was a professor of education at St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, a historically black institution. He was given a Citizen’s Award in 1999 by the Triangle’s left-wing newspaper, The Independent Weekly. Ironically, Kambon is also an opponent of the death penalty. Yeah as along as you are niot white.....

I just get irritated when African Americans say the white people did not do enough to help them. Come on. Its not like we experience a hurricane like that all the time, and many were stupid enough to stay (both white and African Americans). We did all we could, we donated food, sent volunteers, and many other people sent donations including myself. When they don't appreciate the donations and good deeds that we've done, then whats the point of helping them the next time?
Sorry for going off topic.....
But anyways, I am sure it would be easy for your anger to rise when people are saying your not funny, but then again, comedians should know that it could happen and they shouldnt blow up and go crazy. It was a no win situation either way.

I seriously hate the whole 'blame game.' We are all people and we are all stuck on this earth with each other. We all have limited time here on this planet and I'm not going to waste it on hating someone for race, color, creed, etc. I just wish everyone could realize this so the whole world could move on. Now, terrorists, rapists, murderers, molestors, and other POS's I do hate but thats a whole nother story.
What Richards did was wrong and I am disapointed in him. I don't think he's a racist, I think he lost his cool. But that is no excuse. I have lost a lot of respect for him.

i agree with slusher and mr 19accord97. but i also think that being a stand-up comendian he would have been interrupeted before wouldnt you? it just wont be the same when i see seinfeidl re-runs on tv
Obviously Richards was wrong for the rude comments he made but on another note why is he the only one in the comic spotlight for racism? There are a lot of other comedians out there who aim their racial jokes towards white people and no-one seems to step up and tell them that they were offensive and rude.
Here comes the whole truth and nothing but the truth..
And I approve this message...
We as people have all said something at one time or another about the opposite race that we ourselves are...I have ...maybe a 1/2 million times for instance.
Some times I have meant it..but most times I have not meant it in a rage or to hurt someone.
So is Richards a Racist? Yes
Am I also a Racist ? Yes
Are All Of You out There Reading This a Racist ??
I rest my Case Now.....

I don't know about you guys but doesn't it tick you off when you try to be nice to someone of another ethnic background and they just take it and shove it back down your throat. For instance, when he says all whites should be exterminated. I know he probably meant for the mean ones like KKK mambers but I think he went a little overboard by saying "All". He is completely going on a stereotype and not a very good one at that. But I do understand to some extent(I say that because some may think I don't) where he is coming from.
Example, you get the short stick on several things so you are real mad about those short sticks. The people you get sticked from are from the same group. So you decide you don't like them anymore(From the way he sounds maybe he never liked whites) but a few from the same group(but not the same that sticked you) say they are your friends and would help you.
Some of the well known stereotypes about certain groups are most likely the more negative of the stereotypes that we hear and half of us go by them. It is completely stupid.

I agree with Trav20 and WheelBrokerAng. We've all said stuff that we have later regretted and i'm sure he does too. It happened, its over, and its done with. imho, I somewhat dont think they should have came down so hard. Hes not the only one to have been racist, although he was more extreme. w/e, idk! Im both ways on this one
