Saab and Volvo Hoses?

Saab and Volvo Hoses?
Is it just my luck recently or do these have issues with hoses coming off/loose?
I think I pretty muched covered my chase on a Volvo (96 855R). BTW Cam, the wife drove it to work today and got plenty of comments on the car.....they really liked it
On Monday night, my youngest gets home and tells me the CEL is on in the Saab. Also the brake light is out....no biggie on a tail light bulb. He said once the CEL came on the idle went high and seemed to jump a bit. I really need to spend more time with him on "car issues".
Anyway, yesterday was a long day. Meeting in Roanoke VA, so we left at ~5:30 am and didn't get back home until ~8:45 pm.
So I get home today - AND YES it is like 80 and I can start to think and do things
Got the scanner out and got two codes from the Saab, P0106 and P1181. Ok, a map sensor issue and a LTFT issue (I think, learning Saab codes). Pop the hood and start trying to find the map sensor, no I didn't look in the manual I have for it - BTW, THANKS to Jim for the manual I do have. Anyway as I get to the TB - sure enough, there is a hard vac line not connected to the rubber connector on the TB.
Spent 20 minutes looking for an old "spring" clamp to fit on there. Put the two back on/together.....guess what, no codes and running fine.
Just my luck ?

IIRC there's a tab in that WIS software that you can look up the Pnnnn codes for troubleshooting tree.
Some of that stuff is written for a mechanic who's using a Saab Tech-2 scanner. (Their version of Honda's HDS stuff) I didn't have anything happen to mine where I couldn't figure out a DIY method, but I didn't have really serious stuff go wrong with my car either.
Parts & stuff:
www(dot)eeuroparts(dot)com has been a good source, & they have Volvo stuff too.
www(dot)thesaabsite(dot)com also.
Random extra thought... Get a can of Pentosin CHF11S power steering fluid. Spendy, but if you top it off with regular PS fluid you'll need a lot more to drain/fill.

Jim,
Yes, again THANKS for the manual, I did look up the 1181 later in it. Just the 106 was first - lowest number? - and I knew that one off the top of me head. So to save time, daylight - I didn't want to come in and look up the 1181. Try to figure the 106.
I did pick up a can of fluid today, yea $13.31 for 1L is a bit high.......but I gladly pay $6~$7 for a quart of Honda trans fluid and don't think twice about it. You have to use the right "stuff" or it will cost you more down the road - IMHO.
Thanks guys
