Well after 4 and a half years with my '99 Accord I sold it last week. This was my first vehicle I got at 16 years of age and spent thousands of dollars modifying it. In reality, I just "grew out" of the car. A guy saw it on Autotrader and his "grandma" bought it the next day. He is 18yo and doesnt even have his license yet!!!! Being almost 21 years old now I need something a little more subtle and luxurious. Im either getting an 06-07 G35 coupe or an 05-07 350z. I'm leaning toward the G35 though... I currently am DDing my '96 240sx and have recently bought 2 Porsche 944's. One is an '84 and the other an '86. Just some projects to keep work on in my spare time. I may stop by and check in with everyone every now and then...

sad to see it go, but looks like you have moved on to bigger and better things. My vote is for a G35 over a 350z.

My step mom has a black G37S which I have driven numerous times... To be honest, i dont like the body styling. The G35 looks waaay more sleek and the lines are a lot simpler and clean. I dont like the headlight or taillight design on the G37, it is a beast to drive though(330hp). Plus I don't feel like laying down $35,000 on a G. Im looking at $22,500 tops. My dad is a car dealer so we can go to auctions and by them at wholesale prices which helps.

I mainly want a G35 because I rarely see them around. I see a 350z every 10 minutes in my town.

Im kinda weighting the advantages and disadvantages of both

G35:
- luxurious
- less "common" than a 350z
- back seat
- more practical for trips, long drives
- classier interior

350z:
- lighter = faster
- sportier look
- same engine, drivetrain, suspension as G35
- VQ35HR motor in '07 and up models
- better handling because of less weight

 

$22,500 huh? I have a suggestion for you:

Nah, i can't see myself paying $23,000 for a 15 year old Acura. Once u get past the '96 models the price shoots upward of $40,000. Plus replacing anything major motor wise or tranny wise would take major $$$$. The main reason is the fact that it is a 15 year old car

I thought of the idea of a TL too... I just dont know if I it's practical because whatever I get I am gonna do some modding... And i wanna stick with RWD
