I would definitly look at a 2-way alarm, I have them on all my cars/trucks and they work great.

When I ordered my back up sensers for my truck (they shipped from Hong Kong) the company was also selling those electrical shock alarms. I dont remember the name.(probably because I couldnt pronounce it lol) It was 3 years ago also. But it was from ebay. If I come accross it I will definitly let you know.
