Noticed van pull up last night around midnight with really squeaky wipers. Left for school this morning around 630 and van was still there with wipers on, no longer raining.

I figured maybe it's some guy getting some sleep since he has RI plates and we are NY. I asked my mom and she still saw van when she left at 800. I get home now (1700) and van is still there with wipers halfway up windshield (assuming dead battery). I walked around car and didn't see anyone in it but seems to be a lot of **** in the van.

Seems strange, especially because this isn't really a route that leads anywhere. Usually only people that live here and family are around. Also that the key would need to be in car for wipers to be running all that time.

At first I thought it was someone just chillin leeching my internet because my router always resets and it becomes unsecure, and personally I always stop and borrow internet in my car. So I turned off the router for the night.

I also looked around the yard to see if anyone was scoping out my house or surrounding houses but didn't see anyone. Just seems strange that it was just left there. I guess if it's not gone by tomorrow I will ask the police to check it.

If I go get the plate or VIN is there any way to check it online if it's stolen or something?

 

Easiest way is to give the VIN or plate number to the police...
