Default summer tires or all season high performance tires??

so i jus got a 97 prelude sh n the tires are gone. the car came with some low profile tires on the original 16 inch sh rims. so i was wonderin should i go with all season high performance (bulkier than low profile...lasts longer) or summer tires (low profile, better performance, less life). im scared of drivin in the winter i live in augusta, ga n it RARELY ever snows like once every 5 years...but still. the cost is roughly the same on tire rack for both tires

I personally would go for a good handling long life tire that is quiet. There really isn't any reaon why you cannot get 40K miles out of a good performance tire if you drive sanely.

I would suggest the 205/45/16 Kuhmo Ecasta ASX tires, look good, sweet sidewall and A traction and A temperature tire.
Tread design is sweet, go to there web site and take a look at them.
About $ 82.00 dollars each I'd say...
