The Accord/Torneo Euro-R (GH-CL1) high-performance sports sedan were added to the Accord/Torneo series.
The Accord/Torneo Euro R are fitted with the improved H22A 2.2 liter DOHC VTEC engine that produces 220 horsepower and 22.5 kg-m of torque. The H22A engine performance has been improved by adopting twin silencers and having improved the aspiration efficiency. And the Accord/Torneo Euro R adopt the exclusive low-down suspension, 16 inches alloy wheels, a stiffer body and improved brakes. Also, they come with RECARO bucket seats, a leather wrapped MOMO steering wheel, an aluminum shift ****, a gauge cluster in white color, and red painted engine head cover.

Main Equipment : a exclusive red head engine cover, Helical LSD, hard type dampers, hard type stabilizers, fog lights, a MOMO steering wheel, white meters, 16 inches alloy wheels, a strut tower bar, an aluminum shift ****, RECARO racing front seats, double wishbone front and 5-link rear suspension system, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights, body colored retractable electric door mirrors, power windows, keyless entry unlock, air conditioning, driver and passenger SRS air bags, and ABS.

I think they are only sold in Japan but not certain, it could have also been offered to Europe, don't know?

I'm not sure that they are making a type-r accord in Japan, but I am sure that they have a Mugen Accord which has some intense suspension modifications and a changed exhaust note. Unfortunately the fact that the tsx is not that hot over here coupled with the fact that the USDM Accord is nonexistent in Japan, we may never really see a type-r accord for this generation.
