is it normal that they grow that large?

 

Naw Patrick, most of those Rattlers go to about 6 to 7 feet in lenght, this guy must have ate two many rodents so he got alot bigger.

Wonder how old that thing was? Even though it was a monster it still seems a shame to kill it.

 

I agree Tex, its a damn shame. Could have been a cool office prank material, or scare the poop out of some females, there are just too many reasons to list for which an oversized venomous snake could become useful.
