What did you do to your accord today?
lol you might just be that .1% of ppl who have a bad TCU. You are the 2nd person in my honda life time hearing about a bad TCU…everyone just diagnosed wrong.
Now the bad thing about having a bad TCU is your TCU is mated to your trans. When swapping TCU you will wear out your trans little bit quicker than you would with your original TCU that was made for your trans. This is why...kinda like when you add new mods to your engine on a stock ecu...your ECU is made to somewhat "retune" but more or less just relearn your new air fuel ratio for your new mods. Well a TCU DOES NOT relearn shift patterns from a diff. trans. The shift points are the same but each trans wares diff. from abuse and the previous drivers driving habits no 1 drives 100% the same maybe alike but not the same. It's not the best thing to swap TCU..better to get yours fixed.

Well it wasn't today but yesterday....changed the ps pressure hose on the 89 LXi. Spent an hour trying to figure out how to sanke that dang thing out of there. Finally figured out how to get it out,,,,,spent 10 minutes getting the new one in and tight. Thought about it afterwards and should have taken pic's and tried my first "how to". The oldest learned more "fun" of working on cars.
While doing that I found the source of a "thump" on the right/pass side that was bugging me (thought it was the UCA but replaced it a few weeks ago and the sound was still there). Should inspect my cars more......the swaybar bushing was GONE, I mean gone as in nothing but the metal bracket was there, no rubber what so ever. So I borrowed one from the 88 LXi to get the boy going.

Well it was a few days ago but got both outter tie rods and driver side upper ball joint replaced.
Also put thermostat in which helped my frezzing my a** off issues.
Also found out that my rack is junk and need to replace it when the weather stops freezing. Took belt off to save the pump.
So I too will be driving all winter without power steering in the crap PA snow. Once you get use to tight spot parking without it you can drive anything.

i did this:

20 sq. ft. of Raammat BXT in and on the door, custom MDF baffle, about 7 hours on the front driver door. maybe today i'll work on the passenger door... already there is a helluva difference, even when knocking on the outside metal comparing the two.
