I just keep looking around the site, because I'm excited for my car, and it seems there are a lot more 6th gens then 7th gens. Why is that?

Probably for the fact that they are cheaper, however I would take a 7th gen over a 6th anyday. But would take a 5th gen over any gen.

I think 7th gen coupes look pretty good, not really a fan of 7th gen sedans. 6th gen auto trannys blow................alot.

5th gens because they have probably the least amount of problems, probably the easiest to swap/turbo, most aftermarket support, less computers trying to control everything, and look pretty good.............oh and I own 2 of them.

6th gen is by far more popular than 7th gen. Big negative is the Tranny,5th gen has major aftermarket support,7th gen is in a way geared toward the older crowd, like the CL,TL.

Sorry for being a nuisance but I'm just trying to figure out what I should be asking for. I'm not paying for that car or the insurance, but I have a limit of around $10,000. I have to pay for gas, and anything I do after. I'm also a teenager, so I will not be making a lot of money. So with that in mind the positives and negatives of each are:

5th generation: Good tranny, aftermarket support
6th generation: Terrible tranny, popularity
7th generation: decent/good tranny, best looks stock(in my opinion atleast), least popular and least aftermarket

So what is you opinion

Really depends what you are looking for, are you just looking for a good looking daily driver. Something you can mod lightly like rims suspension etc. Or something you can go all out drag or auto-x on.

I'm looking for a daily driver which I can mod lightl. Mainly for looks though, but not completely. I would like to upgrade performance, but not heavily. My parents just wont like the idea of upgrading a car to make it go faster
