Worlds Largest Engine
The Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96 Turbocharged Diesel is made in 6 to 14 cylinder configurations. For the 14 cylyinder version:
Weighs 2,300 tons (crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons)
Length=89 feet
Height=44 feet
Power=108,920 HP@102 RPM
Torque=5,608,312 Lb-Ft
Cylinder bore=38"
Stroke=98"
Displacement=1,556,002 cu. in.
Burns 1,660 gal. of fuel per hour
I wonder what Jay Leno could do with that engine!

RE: Worlds Largest Engine
That's a big engine... but at 89 feet I don't think you could put that on/in anything on the road without a direct drive like a ship uses.... A tranny to handle that wouldn't even be feesable
