Any service records on this car? I am not seeing how this car can command this price regardless of condition.

Of course I have all service records, which aren’t very many considering it has less than 30k miles on it. But according to you it wouldn’t matter - right ?

If the car was a 5-Speed Manual, I'd be interested; the automatic gearbox is a non-starter for me.

Good luck with your sale!

On the contrary. You've had two posts on this forum one @ $15K and now this one @ $10K. I think putting the service records out there at a shared location for interested parties to review would help with your sale.

Saying it is a "little old lady" car means nothing doesn't means much these days. The unsaid to that could be possible neglect especially on fixed income. This car is almost 30 years old and frequent oil changes regardless of mileage is crucial to the integrity. Manufacturers may recommend 10K oil changes today but I for one still do them at 5K max. Even if the car does not meet the mileage qualifier, it's done in 6 months from the last one.

What is the condition of the belts and when were they belts changed?
When were plugs done?
It has cold AC but from the mileage/age what is the condition of the compressor/clutch or was this ever changed?

At a glance the car looks great but there's not much more to say this is worth $10K. I'm interested and I've owned quite a few Accord from 92-01 model years. Do a little work for that amount and let's see if you make a sale.

On the contrary. This is your second post on this car with the original ask at $15K. It is a clean car on quick glance. You can do a little work to help you get closer to your price by placing all service records at a shared location for folks to review.

Saying it is a "little old lady car " doesn't do much as this could mean neglect in maintenance. Especially on a fixed income. This car is almost 30 years old and oil changes are crucial for the integrity of the engine regardless of mileage on the odo.
  • Are the belts original? What is the condition of the belts? Have they been replaced?
  • How does the transmission shift? Is there video of start up and driving?
  • It's stated there is cold AC. But how is the compressor clutch? These things seize up pretty easily without movement.
  • Are the plugs original?
I've owned a handful of Accords from 92-01 model years so you're not speaking to an Accord newbie. If all else fails for you try carsandbids.com or bringatrailer.com. If this car is what it is, I will happily follow and bid at least I'll know the car gets more attention from those who value good cars not just looking to capitalize. Keep me interested.

z32Fairlady,

If you would like to set up a date and time to come look at the car in person your more than welcome. I have two people coming this weekend so just let me know…

How did it go?

I was able to find a documented 131K mile 92 EX Coupe with leather. Car needs paint and some interior work as it is original but mechanically the car is perfect.
