NOW $3800- RUST-FREE, 64K ORIG. MI. 1985 HONDA ACCORD LX H/B MASSACHUSETTS

I'm very reluctantly parting with this great survivor, which I purchased last spring. It is probably the finest example of a near-new 1985 Accord in the Northeast.The original owner was a lady froma wealthy "Main Line" suburbof Philadelphia.

1985 Honda Accord LX hatchback. Blue/Gray exterior/Gray velour interior. 1.8 litreI-4 (carburated), 4-speed automatic. 64,500 miles. Interior is very clean and no seat wear/rips/tears. Sun visors need re-covering, as does parcel shelf cover.Dashboard and door panels excellent. No fading/cracking. Obviously garaged all her life, and average of 3200 miles driven per year. Passenger inside door courtesy light plastic lens missing. Works fine. AM/FM/Cassette, 4 speakers. Ice cold A/C (unknown if Freon or R-32). Clean CARFAX.

Body is near flawless. I'm in the process of waxing it right now. Bumper covers (black part) and black trim panelshave faded as usual. Plastic covering of window trimis flaking, as usual.NO water leaks. All glass very good, windshield un-pockmarked. VIN number is engraved on side windows, very hard to notice.

Mechanical condition is excellent. Driving the 350 miles back from Philly in 90-degree weather was trouble-free (and a lot of fun!). Two separate mechanics have had it on their lifts, and it is totally Rust Free, leak free as well. I have installed new flex pipe and muffler. I have 2 new gas shocks for rear hatch, not yet installed. Oil change at purchase. Hasn't used a drop in the 2-3K miles I've driven it. 30 MPG on the highway. Underhood reveals all new belts and hoses. Very clean engine bay, newer battery. Transmission shifts crisply, fluid is very clean per mechanic. Tires are very good. Drive it anywhere!

Undisclosed to me at the time of auction was the passenger door. Looks like someone back up while it was open. It springs out at you when you open it, and the window only lowers 2/3d's of the way. Small (about 6"x6") wavy spot on lower left hand corner of the door. Door closes and seals fine, seems to be "plumb" in frame (not high or low).

I had a 1984 Accord LX HB 5-speed as my 1st new car. I bought this one to recapture some of the fun I had over 20 years ago. I searched over 3 years before finding this outstanding example. Now, health issues force me to part with it. It is on the road now, Titled, licensed, plated, insured and Massachusetts inspection stiker good through July,2008. Emeission tests were passed easily, and print-outs, as well as work slips for the exhaust are included with vehicle.

UPDATE - 10/21/07-
I've reduced my price for this great car to $3800, negotiable. I must sell this car before winter. I won't let it sit out in the elements. Upon full payment, delivery is available at .50 per mile from 01331 (Mapblast mileage). I will gladly assist with any shippers. I am offering this car to Enthusiasts who can appreciate its relative rarity.
