Is it designed for any J30 engine, or the first years of the motor? I know the V6 got a huge compression increase lately, it's up to 11:1 now. Boosting is for low compression engines, so it can handle the pressure created from the increased air flow.

 

I bought it for my 98 accord ex and my engine is J30A1. It also did not specify any certain J30 engine so I would assume it is for any J30 V6 engine.

 

Nah, the V6 is staying steady at 10.5:1....and using REGULAR 87 GAS. Honda, with keeping its tradition of economy, may end up hurtin the v6 engine (pinging). anti-knock/ping measures in the engine cannot compensate for extended/long-term 87 abuse.

 

My asking price for the turbo kit is 460 dollars shipped!!!! Not a bad price for what your getting!!!!

 

What brand and model of turbo? 50/70? WTF does that mean?

Anyone seriously interested, you're going to need a standalone EMS and a lot more stuff for this... $460 is only the beginning of your spending.

 

No duh. Of course your going to have to spend more money for froged internals, rebuild and all. But go google a turbo kit and you will notice they run 3400 to 4000!
