Default 1997 Accord EX

Hi everyone,
came across this ad for a 1997 Accord for sale. What’re your guys’ thoughts? It looks pretty clean inside and out. What are older accords like this worth?

My 1997 Honda Accord Special Edition was just stolen a couple of weeks ago. I loved that car & cried when they found it stripped. My insurance called it a total lost & although I thought about fixing it, the cost was going to be ~ $7,000 to get it back running & another $7K for the body work plus going through the process of getting a salvage title & rebuild title. I’m sorry I reported it stolen. I was the original owner & the car was always garaged with 120,000 miles on it. I strongly recommend you get a good alarm with a kill switch, GPS tracking, & a camera if you buy it. I loved that car so much. The 97 is a great car

Definitely depends, like most old cars, these old Accords can overheat easily and this can damage things permanently quickly. SO, basically start mechanically first when checking out a car. Because when I bought my 1400$ Accord it might've looked like a beater but it has paid for itself over and over.
I seriously agree with Sfgirl above, mine got stolen once and broken into twice. I then installed a stock Honda security system that keeps them from driving off with it (and that mother is loud when you **** it off now). And plus now I have keyless entry sooooooo a win-win.
