ya so last week my camshaft broke . I have a 1995 Accord Lx, 2.2L (4cyl of course) and im looking for an used engine. Does anyone have one or know of one for sale? The mechanic was quoting somewhere in the $3,000 range but I figured someone has to have one for $1000 or less?!

Your location would help out. But I have seen them go for as low as $300. I'd check out partshotlines.com it will search your local junkyards.

im selling an f23a1 out of an 01 accord? theres not that much difference between the f22 and the f23, only problem is is that u would need a crank kit which would run u around 250 if not less, 129k miles, 350 for the engine and intake manifold, swaped for an h22 =)

 

PNP best place to fine one. You can pick whole engine for around $150. I have bought several f22a engines from my local pnp and they only charge $120...you have to put some work into it and pull the engine yourself.

 

dude g22 there must be tons of those cars down there. i cant find junk around where i live lol.

OP i agree junkyard, PNP, websites, but also give craigslist a try there are usually people parting out cars and selling motors on there.

 

Our junkyards are FULL of accords. PPl around here are so mind set on b18c5 and h22 and k series. No one knows the potential f series engines...they are just all on the bandwagon for the ride. They only get what other ppl buy. But what can I say I live in Tallahassee bunch of richy snob crappie playing football team playing FSU students.
