Looking to buy 2000 Honda Accord
Im looking for a new car, just sold my acura legend which i was really happy with and il stick with a similar car.
Im going to check out a 2000 Honda Accord tomorrow 4cylinder fully loadded. Its for 190k on it, so my question is what things should i look for it when i test drive it tommorrow.
Are replacement parts cheap?
what will i need to replace in this car?

Dang 190k miles? Defintely check for maintenance records in particular timing belt, water pump, and various seals. Parts aren't too bad, a lot cheaper than european cars a bit more than domestic. Also, quite a few 6th gen accords have had problems with transmissions so defintely pay careful attention. Otherwise it's a fun car that gets good mpg. I have a 99 and like it for the most part.....the i4 seems to get pwned when the aircon is on [:@]. Maybe look into getting a 5 speed? Driving the auto gets quite boring. Good luck on your purchase!

ckebottle pretty much nailed this one.
That car is getting close to time for a 2nd timing belt change. Once every 104k miles or 7 years in the 98-02 models. Find out if the timing belt has ever been changed before. If it hasn't, you need to get that changed immediately. Might as well do the water pump, seals, and drive belts as well. That would run anywhere from $400 - $700 from a Honda Certified mechanic (you will pay more at a "stealership.")
If the transmission shifts rough, you might as well forget about it.
