Ei guys, i have a 3rd gen 86 accord dx and been slowly trying to put back all original items into it. Im at the air conditioning system now. Found out the compressor is not the original one any more and it uses a fabricated housing to sit it onto. The original compressor is a quick buy at ebay, but i will need to
have the original bracket to go with it.

Anybody, by any chance, has one or know where i can the bracket (or housing as others call it) ? Certainly fabricating a new one is an option but, hey, a "plug and play" bracket will save me a lot of pain. Send to 91340.

Try searching car-part.com for donor vehicles for a compressor. Perhaps someone will have the mounting bracket also.

The 3rd gens used two different compressors which in turn used two different mounting brackets.

I know one was a Keihin, can't remember the other off the top of my head....Nippondenso ? The Keihin's were not that good, many would get a conversion kit when they went out - the kit came with a new bracket and AC line....a few other little things as well.
