2005 Struts and Lowering springs - Pre-Loaded
Not the same "what's the best set-up thread" ...
I would like to buy a set of 4 struts loaded with lowering springs.
I DO NOT want it slammed!! The roads in PA suck!
1" - 2" lowering is fine.
And I don't want ridiculously stiff struts making every pothole crush my kidneys!
And of course, I'm on a budget LOL.
If someone could suggest springs, I could always get standard struts.

If anyone cares ... I purchased Monroe Quick Strut assembly all around ... Swapped the Monroe springs and substituted Neuspeed (Sport Spring) lowering springs. Very nice improvement, but anything would've been an improvement considering I had almost 200,000 miles on my OEM struts! The springs lowered the ride slightly, so it definitely looks better, but I can't really compare the ride comfort to OEM springs cuz I bought the car second-hand. Anyway, I'm a HAPPY BOY now. Didn't realize how weak my struts were!

Those are the springs that I am considering as well. Thanks for posting pics!! I like the stance. Not too low, not too high.... Just right! So she rides fairly smooth and comfortable? I use my car as a DD and haul kids back and forth regularly. I can't have something that rides like a covered wagon. Thanks in advance!!

I drive my Accord back and forth to school (40 mins each way) and work (1 Hour each way), so I'm doing A LOT of driving, and I couldn't be more pleased (and the driving is over Pennsylvania "roads" = voted worst in the nation). Granted, I replaced the struts as well, and I'm thinking they have the most affect on the ride. But the combo is a PERFECT compromise. For future upgrades, I will consider anti-roll bars for better cornering. This car will never be quick or fast, so making it corner like an F1 racer will be my goal LOL.
