I'd really like to drop my car a couple of inches, but I DO NOT want to lose the plush ride I have now. Will all lowering kits (springs/shocks) make it ride stiffer? A little stiffer would be bareable, I just don't want to feel every crack in the road. Suggestions, input would be appreciated. Websites to purchase from?

BTW, I plan to put some 17's on it after dropping.

 

The general rule of thumb is the lower the drop, the stiffer the ride.

As for where to buy them... there are a lot of reputable online places... TAS Auto, Tire Rack, Modacar, etc... I usually just google the part number looking for the lowest price that's not shady...

Looks like the Tein Basic Full Coil Over kit is what I'm after. Just need to save a little$$$$ now

 

I would recommend that or the eibach pro or sportline kit with some nice struts, cheaper than the tein set up, and will give you a nice 2inch drop.

 

Can you suggest what dampners to use with those springs you listed? I want to make sure that they will work correctly together.

Not necessarily... I've put $800 plus into my drop... on H&R Race and Koni Sports.... You can get the Tein Basics for $600 and the SS for $800 and the SS-P for $1100
