Default Lowering 88 accord

I want to lower my 88 accord. I have looked at ebay an they have lowering springs but it is a standard highth at 2.5in. I can do that in the front but I can't do it in the back. So if anyone knows where I can get adjustable lowering springs or knows of some how I can lower my car please let me know.

Adj. lowering springs aka coilovers?

Good luck. How can you lower 2.5 in in the and not in the rear? The springs come as a set and should be guaranteed to work with your car.

Well I have 17in rims on my car. I'm not sure why its like that maby I have saggy springs in the back, I don't know. Well the front is about 3in above the tire and the back is about 1.5in above the tire. So what do coilovers do? Like do they adjust how high my car will sit?

That is the clerance from the tires to the body. I want it to be level an have the body about 1in to .5in from my tires. Somthing that looks good.

You shouldn't rub much if you have an offset above +40mm on the wheels.

Your ride height shouldn't be what it is now, so saggy springs is likely and common. Keep in mind youre replacing what holds the car up.

do you have any idea how stiff your suspension is goin to have to be to keep from bottoming out? hope you got smooth roads where you live.

The sag is caused by the springs, so replace them with lowering springs. A 1-2 finder gap will likely need the lowest, non-adjustable springs you can find or coilovers.

Springs don't control bottoming out or bounce, they simply hold the car level and provide a force against the shocks. I agree, you will need some good DAMPERS (shocks/struts) to keep from bottoming out.

I have like a 1 finger gap at the moment and Koni Sports on their highest dampening setting (very firm) large bumps only cause my car to move and inch up and down, so you better believe you'll feel every crack in the road.
