so i dont know if this post was suppose to be in this section but it is now. Any way, i got off school, walking to my car. I went in turn on the engine then press the brake and shift my car to D4. All of a sudden it stuck cant shift to D4 it just stuck.

So something wrong with my shift lock. Then I press it with my flathead screw driver and i shift it. It work. But after that It stuck again.

So inorder for me to drive my car i have to use the flat head to push the shift lock down everytime. I dont know what is wrong with it. Any help would be useful guys. Thanks.

 

Are you saying you have to push the shift lock or release in with a screwdriver and you can't do it with your thumb?? When you press on the brake pedal do the brake lights come on?

 

yes, i have to use the flat head screw driver to push the shift lock down inorder to change the gear. And yes my brake light is on when i press the brake pedal.
