Default lowering spring Q

is it true that if you change stock springs to aftermarket springs on stock shocks, that the stock shocks will blow out in shorter period of time?
so going with coilcover is a better idea and cheaper path than lowering springs + stock shocks = blown shocks and changing blown shocks?

thanks guys

yes and yes ..... coilover is comparable in price to springs + shocks ..... it depends on what you want. Don't forget to budget for a camber kit (F&R) and an alignment.

Read the Suspension FAQ for more info in this, but basically it's linear (coilovers)vs. progressive springs. linear tend to be more predictable and confident in handling while progressive maybe more comfy but arent as predictable.
