yup but Im willing to let the h22 block and crank go for good deal. I think I might make a new FS thread soon I just havent had much time. I also have a flowmaster 60 series (import series muffler) muffler I might let go for like 60bucks that isnt in my FS thread...also added pistons and rods to the thread

hardest part for me is shipping lol. i got my f22b2. im planning on swapping on an f22a4 head, using f22a4 exhaust manifold, h23 IM, then throwing on some bisi stuff down the rd. will that h22 crank destroke an f22? can it even be used?

stick with the f22 crank...if you use the h22 crank you will destroke the engine some. Spend the money on bisi header...it’s like 600-700bucks. Witch if you think about it is a good cash to power ratio. I mean if you think about it...you spend close to 400+ bucks for a good intake and exhaust set up...sometimes even more depending on the brand parts you use. and that right there only yields you what 5-10hp max. With just the bisi header you are yielding 26hp on a sock f22a1 UNTUNED if tuned. With exhaust intake and the things you are talkin about doing I don't see why you can’t yield close to 170hp with good bit of tq. under your belt with a good tune. I would go with his cams too…if you have some extra cash get your exhaust ports ported out a bit it will help out ALOT.

yeah ive been looking into all the possibilities. definitely gonna see a stage 2 cam, some mild head work, valves and springs, etc. the header will be on my list as well. the reason im considering destroking is to allow some head room on the rev ceiling. i wanna put in some forged rods, higher comp pistons if i can too. i wanna rev to like 7000+ if it can. higher compression should make up for the lost stroke. i wanna make around 180+ whp.

I wouldn’t destroke unless your boosting. You want all the stroke you can get when your building a n/a engine. With the highER c/r and the cams you might still be able to turn out close to 7grand w/ f22 crank. Also I’m not even sure if you can run a h22 crank in a f22 and at that point I donno if you have to use h or f series rods. IF you are using h22a4 crank (since you said h22a4 head) you have to use h22a4 rods b/c they are 55mm mains not 50mm mains. So you have some research to look fwd too so G/L and let me know how things work out.

read this thread - http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=155043
it answers most of your questions. I have already asked them haha

yeah i figured i would get myself in too deep with all if that. ill stick with the f22 crank. to my understanding they are forged anyway. im using the f22a4 head not h. it will be a direct swap that will flow a lot better. Im not doing this right away and it depends on how everything else on this car holds up. might end up getting something else one day before this happens. Im gonna be researching more and asking questions lol. thanks for the info!

my bad I had couple things going on when I put h22a4. ..I got h22a4 on the brain cus that’s what Id like to do is destroke a f22 and make a poor man’s f20

Yeah I’m still in the works on if I can use a h22 crank in a f22 block. I’m talking to a the g series masta on another forum and I let you know what he says about all of this. It might could work with the right parts...I just don’t know what the right parts are..lol

Keep me updated and I will do the same.

that would be pretty cool if you can pull it off and what not. what are looking for with that type of motor? boost/na?

i wanna destroke figuring i could get some high revving top end, but i do wanna keep my torque lol. like i said good torque, good power, and a 7000-7500 rpm rev ceiling will be good for me.
