Default Rear Tie Stabilizer Brace Bar Installation Help

Since I couldn't get an answer in the dead thread....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...529&rd=1,1

Erm...heh where does this piece go? I jacked the car up and everything and the only place seems suitable....the rear tie bar didn't fit. Did I get the wrong part? The only place where it looks like it could go is close to the cambers.

EDIT- Here are actual pictures....I just figured out by turning the tie bar that it's adjustable and locks via a nut. The clasp/locking mechanism of the tie bar is very strange.

its supposed to connect on the rear frame brace from the places where each of the lower camber arms meet. thats, as far as i know.

I may be way off but that looks like an upper strut tower bar and not a strut/sway bar.... I'm not super familiar with accord rear sway bars but that looks funky

You might be right...I haven't thought of that since the ad said "rear".

I have one of them on my Accord...it is not an upper strut brace. It connects on the underside of the vehicle, on the two bolts for the lower control arms.

It seems the bar isn't long enough for that though.

Where would it go? 17/18?

From that diagram...you would remove bolt 29 from both sides, and place the bar so you can thread the bolt back into the control arm through your part.

It's too dark right now...but tommorow I'll take a pic of my car so you can see where it is attached.

Shadow, did you get a chance to get a photo of the tie bar?
