Default Running 18x8's on a 2008 Accord V6 Sedan

Hi All,

I want to run 18x8 wheels and tires on a 2008 Accord V6. A set of Ground Control coilovers (GC) is coming too. But, I'm wondering about rubbing. Is controlling rubbing merely a matter of the right height on the GC's?

Thanks.

No. Rubbing is determined by the tire & wheel width, along with the offset of the wheel.

Just a few silly examples of what I mean...

With the same-size tire & wheel as stock, you can get a wheel with a much larger offset. That puts the tires more inboard, so the inside of the tire might rub against the knuckle or the upper control arm.

Again with the same size tire, you can get a wheel with a much smaller offset. That puts the tires more outboard, so the outside of the tire might rub against the fender.

Or you can get a wheel with the proper offset, but use a tire that's much wider. Then you might rub against things either inboard or outboard or both.
