Default shocks question

I was thinking of buying some shocks from sparkplugs.com since they are having that sale. Would I need just the front and rear shocks or do I need the strut mounts and boots? And how hard is this of a diy? Looks like the fronts are pretty easy to access but how about rear? Remove a seat?

Thanks guys!

Pretty easy job except for the springs. You'll need a spring compressor for that (you can rent them or take it all in and a shop will do it for fairly cheap) Rear's are pretty easy as well. The only "trouble spot" on this job is lining up the upper/lower mounts and springs etc. with the spring compressor..

Oh darn....I thought I cld just unbolt everything attached to the shock and pull it out and then drop the new one in and rebolt. Didn't realize I needed to compress the springs.

Unfortunetly you will, however you can rent or buy the spring compressors for next to nothing or just remove all 4 of them and take them in with the new shocks/struts to a dealership and they'd probably do all 4 of them for $40-$80... I was in a bind once and paid to have the suspension swapped out (yes there is a difference between front and rear springs and H&R uses a great color scheme that I knew nothing about to designate that....) they charged me $250.00 in labor
