Default 20 inch on 2007 Accord

I am about to buy new rims and tires for my 2007 accord. I found a set of rims that I like, but they only come in 16 inch and 20 inch through the site that I found. (I've used them before) I would like to put the 20 inch rims on the Accord. I know it will fit, but I was wondering if anyone can adive me on this before I purchuse them.

I just want to know if it will rub or if there are any other concerns I should be worried about.

I don't race my car. I do want a smooth ride though.

I had 18's on my 2001 honda civic. I loved them!!

My feeling is that the tires will be so low profile on 20" wheels they will beat your brains out. Super low profile does not = smooth ride. Are you going to sell your takeoff wheels and tires?

Send a PM to otsb708 He has 20" rims on his Accord. Ask him how he likes them.

Me personally, Im a big fan of riding on nice soft rubber as opposed to hard steel so Id take the 16's especially if youre wanting a smooth ride. Heck, Id move down to 15's myself. Yeah they dont have the "bling" and wont impress your friends (and the neighborhood thieves) as much but itll be a lot more comfortable on those long road trips.

The only way the 20's will rub is if you get the wrong backspacing. I can go click to click on the steering wheel and no rubbage at all. Really the only advice I can give you is go with a 245/35 tire. I have replaced the 225/35 that I originally got with the rims because to me they were a little rough on the ride, but not incredibly harsh like people might think. when I went up in size it smooth everything out. I like the way 20's look on the accord because they have the wheel well size for them and IMO think that they fit perfect. I am thinking about lowering mine but i know that is where the rubbing is going to come into effect.

I know that there are Members in here who are riding on 20's and I know that even if they say they Love them that they also will not tell you of all the problems that are encountered in thier daily drives..20's good for show...but not good for the go! My personall opinion is not to go bigger thab 18" to keep it safe on the roads..

You talk about problems encountered on the daily drives with 20", I have NONE. The sidewall on my 245/35/20 is going to be the same as any 18" or 19" so the ride being rough? I have had 17", 18", and 19" on my previous rides so my experience is thatthe 17" with a 205/40/17 is the most roughest ride I have ever experienced, and that is on a airbagged truck! My stock 17" for the Accord even sucks. When I finally sold my truck it had 19" on it with a 215/35/19and that rode even better than those tiny 17". What is this talk about keeping it safe on the roads? I have been around the aftermarket wheel scene since I was 15, back when 16" were HUGE. I only way that I can see having rims not being safe is the whole DONK scene that is happening now. I recently saw a cutlass on 40" rims!!! That is dangerous. For all show and no go? My car go's and it show's at the same time. What a perfect combo. These Accord's have the softest suspension of any car so they have a good amount of give when it comes to suspension dampening.

Yeah, I dont see anything "unsafe" about 20 inch rims. Especially when you see huge SUVs with 24s and 26s and such, or that Cutlass there (which is quite possibly one of the top three ugliest cars I have ever seen). I think otsb's car looks outstanding. I like 20s on the 7th Gen.
