Default Accord 2006 V6 tires

I have a 2006Accord V6 with the low profile 17" rims. This car rides as if it had NO shocks, every little bump feel like a hit a major pothole, etc. I recently had a blowout and replaced one of these tires. Not only do they ride lke S--T, they are VERY expensive. Is there any way to replace these wheels with 16" and get some tires with some rubber under them??

I like the car except for the rough ride, but am considering trading it if I can come up with a solution.

What air pressure is in your tires? What type of tier? Michelin Pilots?

Actually, what you describe is what happens when the shocks are too firm. If the car had no shocks, it would bounce and float endlessly and couldn't hold the road on a turn. Also, what caused the blowout? I'd never replace ONE tire, pairs minimum.

If you're picky about the firmness of the ride, get a set of adjustable dampers.

interesting. i think the ride is fine on my 07 with 17s...the 16s are a little softer, but certianly not much. sounds like you have a shock issue.
