Default Brake light on after shoe change?

Hey guys, I have a 98 accord and I recently changed the shoes on the rear. I was wondering why the brake light is now lit when the brakes are in fact fully released. The light goes out if push on the brakes hard.

Thanks!

Could be the early signs of master cylinder wear. Check your fluid.

No bumping??? It's been a month...

How far can you pull up the emergency brake? Have you checked that switch? That will also cause the light to come on.

You might have to bleed your brakes. Your saying shoes so you have drum brakes correct.

Handle pulls up nearly all the way and dosnt seem to effect the brakes much.

I bled the system, I don't think there is any air in there. I could bleed it all again but I doubt that's going to help.

Could the auto adjuster's on the drums being to loose? How does the handbrake sensor work.

Thanks!

To set the auto adjuster, brake hard in reverse about 10 times in a row from about 5 mph.
