i bought the car and it has some serious crub rash on the left, front and back rims, any ideas to make it less noticable?

How do you rub curb rash off? I recently ran my wheel a full revolution on a curb and it looks really pretty. Not. You could always sand it smooth(er) and put some touch up paint on it... probably not the best but it works.

EDIT: Does anyone else think that "rim protectors" on tires is just a bunch of bs?
