Default drum brakes and rims.

so with tax returns coming, i figure i should get rims, i still have drum brakes in the back and was wondering if that will effect which rims i could buy and if it will just look f-ugly with drum brakes. any answers would help, thanks.

No the drums wont affect anything as far as rim fitment,but i think it does make rims look a tad different with drums as oppose to disc.IMO

i cant be the only 7th gen "lx" who want discs in the back, I've only found one kit for 1500 not gonna pay that, i'll try the honda and the euro shops tues.

You can swap in EX 4-lug rear discs and or go EX V6 disc and 5-lugs all around. You may be the first 8th gen Accord to do that too... its not cheap though...

You would definitely not be the first with rear drums sporting rims though either...

Yeah it only hinders the appearance to anyone that looks closely. Just paint them black, dont paint them exotic colors like red or anything, cause no matter how you spice them up they are still drum brakes.

All the 7th-gen are 5-lug. Even my 03 LX drum brakes are 5-lug.

Nice! Then a rear disc swap would be a piece of cake! (And cheaper!)

so i should order 5 lug rear disc brakes for an ex and swap it out. how hard is that?

No, you would need the rear caliper and e-brake lines as well as well... you could order the discs now, but there are a few more parts that just the discs.
