Hi, I just got an '06 Accord LX.

I'd like to get some wheels and go a little wider on the tires. Currently, its 205/65r15, I think.

I'd like to go to 215s on 16 or 17s.

Does anyone think I should go a little taller, too, to fill-up the wheel wells? If so, how much?

Taller defenitely, I am currently running 205/45/17s on some RSI Bronze wheels. I have seen and spoken to a guy running 215/40/17s and he said he has only rubbed a few times. Knowing that, I wish I would have gone with 215s. However, now that I have the 17s I wish I would have gone with 18s. Just that one inch is an amazing amount. With 18s you would expect to run 205/40/18s maybe even 205/35/18's.

 

you cannot go much wider than about 225 without rubbing.........
