lock nuts

Default lock nuts

Hi guys i lost the key, to remove the lock nuts on my accord 2005.I phone the company who supply the lock nut ,they say at least 2 weeks waiting time. Is there a way to remove the lock w/o damage the mags what are my other options?tank you

ok my cars is a honda accord 2005 v6 6 speed i need to install my winter tires the company is Mcgard .Do you need a pics?

Here's something you could try. You could get either a 3/4 or 13/16socket which ever one is the tightest and pound it on the lock itself and then turn the lock off using a rachet or breaker bar. You could then replace it with a regular lugnut or wait until your new key arrives. The socket has to be 12 point.

there are specail kits for that, and they are complelety rounded on the inside

Lost key, locking lug removal tool is an impact socket with a reverse thread in it. It tightens as the lock is removed and you will have to grind flat sides to get the socket off of the lock, rendering the lock useless.

When I've done this the lock is still usable. You just lay the socket flat with the lock inside it and hit it with a hammer and it will pop out. You should be able to use the socket four times , but the socket probably will be ruined after you're finished. It really all depends on how tight the lock was really put on at first(impact or torque wrench).

i can probly get youu a key for mabe 10$ at most, and yesh there are removal sets that remove the locks WITHOUT damaging them, i work at a tire store,
