I have 1998 accord lx model v6 and i tryed installing 18 inch rims on the car and te tire size was 215/40 i believe and the back would rub against he body just by a bit. Is the tire size to big or should the wheels and rims fit the car???

 

If you have the V6 or 4 cyl engine tire sizes should be the same as these 205/40/18...thats on a 18 x 7" or 18x7.5" wheel...
What was the E.T. of the wheel you were using??

It is obviously lowered 1-2". accords are notorious for their wheel gap height.

My buddy just got 18" wheels with 225/40/18 2 weeks ago on his 2000 Accord v6. No rubbing at all. We checked the offset.

 

Its all about getting the correct offset.
I have 19x8.5 and am rolling on 235-35-19 BFGs .... No rub and Im pretty much tucking tire...

If im not mistaken 6th-gens have more space then my 5th-gen ....
