Hey , I just upgraded from 205/65/15 to a set of 17x7 Konig Unkowns with 215/50/17 Kumho tires on a 01 accord ex v6 sedan and the tires rub against my fender, the rims almost make it into the wheelwell.I was wondering if anybody else was experiancing this problem and if so how they fixed it , need all sugestions, help please, I was pretty confident that these would have fit

I was thinking of cutting off the lip inside the fender but wasnt sure if this would be enough, as if it wasnt it would scrape and puncture the tire im sure, please anybody with any information, anybody done this ?

 

Get a tire with a smaller sidewall.

 

Sorry they only hit the fender when i hit a large bump, or corner and hit a bump, or they hit with someone in the back and hit a bump

No, i figured they would fit due to only increasing the tire width from 205 to 215 and hearing that other people put like 235 and 245, didnt realise they most likely did something , just wondering what it is so i can fix it. I'm thinking about removing the lip on the inside of the fender and am hoping that this will create enough room, I wavnt found any fender flare kits anywere either if anyone has pleese let me know

 

What does rolling the fender involve ?
