Default NEED HELP tires to fit

Im getting either 16X7 or 17X7 rims soon and I'm looking for compound R tires to fit the rims, and fit in the wells, maybe 245? I have an 04 coupe and this is my first time actually dealing with tires, can anyone help me figure out the max size I can fit in the wells and any compound R tires to go with. Any information at this point is a huge help, I'm so lost on this.

245 seems too big. I think the biggest upsize you can comfortably do with everything stock is 235. I'm not 100% sure on this, though. I'm sure WheelBrokerAng can either back me up, or shoot me down on this one...

Lightbulb If Your Going With The 17" Rims

A 215/50/17 would be about the right size according to my Big Book by TSW..they are the most knowlegable rim company there is...
