Default new wheels

i just put some 17 " wheels on my 2004 accord[venti v56] with some falken ziex tires . i went from 205/65/r15 to 215/50/17. maybe im crazy [lol], but it feels like you have to give the gas a bit more of a push from when it had the reg steel wheels on it. anybody else experience something like this, ill keep track of my gas mileage to make sure. the car does seem to hold the road betterwhich is cool . also i feel a big difference from 89 to 87 octane , so im going back to 89i dont have to push the pedal so much with 89. gas out here is now 3.66.

You'll have to post a picture of your ride with the new wheels when you get a chance..

3.66 for 89??? thats insane i pay like 3.20ish for 93. im not sure about the question you asked but if your sayng that you have to give it more gas to get it going i could see that if you went up a sizr in wheels

Dont forget now that your rolling resistence to start out at is a bit bigger and also your stopping distance has been increased to take a second or so longer with your new tire size..you'll get used to that in a day or 2 :

check out what the weight of your old wheels and tires were and what yournew ones are. good chance the bigger wheels and tires are heavier which means you will need a horsepower upgrade to match the performance you had. obviously people arent made of money so you will just have to get used to it. its the price you pay for a nicer look. just depends whether you think its worth it or not. im sure youlove your new rims as anyone would so dont worry about it and enjoy the new look.
